If I should tell my doctor I'm having seizures

Thu, 12/31/2015 - 12:01
I am a 45 yr old female who has had petit-mal seizures since I was 13. For the first 20 years I had them any time of the day, but had auras about 2 mins before, so I had some time to prepare for it. For the last 10 years I have only had them after I’ve fallen asleep (about 2 hrs after). I notice a pattern of when I get them; usually when I’ve had a stressful day. I see my neurologist annually for checkups of my liver profiles and to get refills on my medication- Lamictal. She asks if I’ve had any seizures, in which I tell her “no, not that I’m aware of.” I only do this because I’m afraid of having my license taken away if I tell her; she can report me. But I feel I’m doing myself a disservice not telling her because maybe my meds can be changed or they can do more tests to see if there is a reason I’m still getting them, being I never miss my meds. But I have a career and can’t take the chance of losing my license. Has anyone else experienced this dilemma and how did it turn out? Thank you

This is SO unbelievably f*cking selfish! Omfg seriously?!! You're SERIOUSLY more concerned about driving than possibly killing someone?! You would rather be so unbelievably selfish to choose driving over risking KILLING a freaking CHILD???!!!!! I don't even give a s*it about you wrecking at this point. But I do when it comes the people and children that don't have a choice in your pathetic dilemma! I see that this stupid ass post was made a few years ago so I hope to God you did the right thing. And if not, and you did get in a wreck hurting people then I hope to GOD that this was used as evidence against you. Because this post is all a prosecutor needs. And if you totaled your car but unfortunately didn't hurt yourself in the process then I hope your insurance company finds this post... because they won't pay you jack. Seriously b!tch.... un-fu*king-believable!
