hi guys, just looking for a bit of help

Hi im sarah, im nearly 18 and from scotland.
Today i was walking my dogs in a park with my mum whilest my fiance was at work. whilest in the park another dog started stalking towards my pups (they are cocker spanials and only 17 wks old) now i dont know what happened exactly all i remember is seeing this stray dog stalk toward me then my mum yelling at me to catch my dogs. I had dropped the lead that they were on (had 1 lead with a splitter so 2 dogs can walk together at once) i dont know what happened between the dog walking toward me and my mum shouting for me to pick up the lead, when i asked my mum she said that i was just stareing at the stray.
After words my mum told me that when i was younger i used to just stare at things for ages and she would get no response from me, eg stare at the tv and if she spoke to me i would, for want of a better word, ignore her.
Is this familiar to anyone? should i get checked for Epliepsy? Please help me!

Thanks ive read the page and it sounds similar so ive called the dr and am going to get checked, youve helped me thanks x

Sarah It probably worthwhile you looking at the relevant epilepsy.com page for absence seizures. They sound similar to this and seem to be much more common than people think. But don't assume yu have epilepsy from reading a website - if you think what you read sound similar to your expereince then see a d just to sort it out more.
