Hi Joan - My epileptologist warned me very strongly not to take Ginko Biloba because it tends to aggravate seizures. Before I start any new med or herbal product, I always check with her. My memory is so bad, I'm going to try Ginko. I told my Neuro, and he didn't seem to care one way or the other, he's a non-believer in herbal therapy completely. He said, "If you have a seizure in the next few days, I'm not responsible." I don't drive, and I'm on disability, and I don't have a dangerous job to go to, so I'm going to give it a few days and see if it helps the ringing in my ears. That's primarily why I'm taking it anyway, my Neuro didn't suggest anything, and I'm sick of laying awake at night staring at the ceiling. It has only become a problem since the last big Grand Mal I had and in the past few days, and I've turned my sleep schedule around 180 degrees. I need to get my sleep schedule back in some kind of order, or I'm going to have to call and cancel and reschedule some early morning appts.
