most people start with a neurologist who treats seizure patients, it's just easier to find one. it is expected to get a referral to an epileptologist if one doesn't get control in the first year of treatment. easiest to find an epileptologist at an epilepsy center - check out aesnet.org there is a find a doctor section.

eptimologist is not found but an epileptomoligist is a neurologist that specializes in epilepsy.  In the get help section there is a section set up to find specialists covering the country. Start there or even call the 24/7 help line. That number is 1-800-332-1000
