to drive or not?!

Ok.. I'm new here...I'll try to make this as short as possible without boring anyone to tears.. here's the short version of my story.. 2 weeks ago I had the first full blown grand mal seizure that I have had in 10 years.. which was really only my second seizure.. (besides from the ones the doctor induced to diagnose me with Epilepsy) I had been off my meds for 7 years. Well I'm back on medicine now.. well, I had this seizure while I was driving with my 3 little girls... it happened right by my house so I was really lucky.. well, now my husband is gone to the United Arab of Emirates and I'm here alone with my 3 girls.. I dont really have much friends and family here to stay with me or anything and I"m afraid to drive... I was just wondering what anyone's opinion would be on what if I need something from the store and decided to drive there? Ive just been in this house with these 3 kids alone for a week now and we're all going kinda stir crazy.. we dont need anything from the store yet.. but it's bound to happen... my husband is going to be gone for 4 weeks.. anyones comments would be greatly appreciated.. sorry for the long post!!

Hi and welcome, from one newbie to another. You should talk to your doctor and see what he says about driving. Do the meds stop them? Also, if you absolutely have to go to the store, don't take the kids with you if you can help it. Is the oldest old enough to watch the others for a while? One thing you could check into is ordering groceries on line and having them delivered. I heard of a website a while back that did that. You could check and see if it's available in your area. Good luck.

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm not sure if the meds stop them so I know I shouldnt be driving. However, so far, after 2 weeks of meds, I've gone 3 days in a row without any dizzy spells or aura's. So hopefully thats a good sign. But yea, there's going to be no driving for me. I think yesterday when i posted that I was beginning to feel a little couped up in this house. But, I have a friend coming and getting me out tonight for a little while to go to church and my parents will be here this weekend to take me everywhere I"ll need to go. So, hopefully that will get the "getting out of the house" out of my system!! Again, thanks for the reply and Welcome to you also!! :)
