Hi. In 2007 I was in a bad car accident and then I started experiencing seizure activity I was 37. I went threw many tests nothing ever showed up. Then one day 4 years later I had a gran mal seizure and I was sent for tests They found a berry anurism in my internal corated arterie in my brain. I was told that is the main artarie connected to them all. That it is also behind you left eye socket and nerves. Before they found it I was have blood clots pooling into my left eye and blurred vision. Threw out this time I was have what I have come to learn today was absence, myoclonic, clonic, and Atonic seizures threw out my days n nights. So they Found this 4cm brain aneurysm and at first I went into the hospital to have a procedure done where they control it with coils. HOWEVER the aneurysm was too thin and had a hole in it so they had to clip it. The dr said I was a sneeze away from it hemrogin and me dieing. Now it's coming up on 3 years later and I am having all those seizures again. This time it is coming up in all the tests. So my theory on this is Possiably I have a new aneurysm and it's Not showing up yet??? Or is it really epilepsy that just has been untreated

Mereloaded they found what caused my seizures by looking are the area the abnormalities were comming from. By looking closer they found scared brain thissue. Si this persons aneurism could be causine the abnormal impulses. The information does when deternine things. Not just symptoms conplomertate Am abnormal groth in a cell in the brain can cause a electrical impulse to hit wrong (abmornalmalities). Neurologists are looking at everything that can cause an irregular electrical output and small things like scared brain tissue or a brain cell not growing right or this persons aneurism.

Many things can cause a person to have epilepsy. 2 tests are used by neurologists to determine causes. One is the EEG which is a test showing the electrical output comming from the brain, If they see abnormalities they know where they cam from. In most people the EEG will look normal. I had 20-25 different EEG's and all came back normal. The other test will be a MRI which shows the brain from every angle. in that they can see all kinds of things. They found scared brain tissue , they see brain cells that grew wrong or deformed, They look for anything that could be different from a normal brain. With me a long time ago I went thru testing.20 different EEG's all came back normal. The MRI ofthe 1960's came back nornal. The last test done that week was another EEG. I was tired because of the testing and in thet EEG I fell asleep. In that EG they fond abnormalities. By seeing them they knew where to check on the MRI and after going over it closer they then found scared brain tissue in the lower left lobes of my brain. My diagnosis was Grand Mal, Petite Mal and Focal Motor Eplepsy  In my focal seizures they start in one area of my body. With me it is my right hand. It will feel funny or wierd, I cn't move it and I had tried to many times. Focal seiauarescan and do change. With me when they change my right hand startes ti rise once it gets shoulder high I then go down in a convulasion whichlooks like a grand mal but in my seizure I am fully concious, I see. hear and understand everything going on.SO yes there is a possiability that your aneurism could be th cause of your epilepsy.I hope this helps and you get your seizures ub=nder control Joe
