there are many people that have auras before they have a seizure. Auras to many are warning of a larger seizure at some time that day. You can read what is written on them and the different types of seizures in the learn section. To some a wierd feeling others see strange lights or taste something. Whit others it may be a head ache. Just like seizures auras are different to each person. I can have the same kind of epilepsy and seizure type as Mary down the Street and our seizures will be different. When I was a teen I knew I was going to have a bad focal seizure. Generally I would get a wierd feeling in my right han for a few seconds. If my hand started rising I knew if my hand ever got shoulder high I would go into a convulsion. That convulsion would look like a grand mal seizure. What happened is the focal seizure generalized. focal seizures start in one area of hte brain which controls teh other side of the body. Generalization means it went from one part to cover the entire brain. I hope this helps and you get seizure free Joe

So I am extremely new to seizures. I just got diagnosed with non epileptic seizures on the November 23rd. I totally know what you are going through. I don't know when I'm going to have one. But there have been maybe a handful of times I have had auroras. With mine I usually see smoke/ misty that clearly only I can see, another few times my right ear would feel like its in a wind tunnel. My right hand shakes so much, but today something new happened my left hand shook and my left leg was paralyzed for half an hour. I do get a lot of pressure in my head, and some rare occasions my head or brain will feel like its on fire, like a burning sensation. Its so frustrating not knowing when it will happen. Your not alone, I hope they can find treatment for you.
