developing petit mal as an adult

Tue, 06/23/2015 - 13:03

I recently noticed strange things while i was delivering mail of papers.  Confronted with an automatic pilot who does not understand my job.  Why am i leaving this house i had no mail for it. It had to be the next house. Where did i forget to deliver this paper i do not understand.  I did my very best to pay attention.  Itś like blacking out and then continuing automatic pilot.  I'm always alone on the road. Noone is witnessing anything.  Except for one time last year. A very good friend of mine saw me in the supermarket and started talking to me. I did not respond at all.  Then i grabbed some things and walked away. I do not remember seering her or hearing her. I would never ignore her.  Last saturday i forgot to deliver a paper. I remember parking my bike. i remember walking to the next house holding my bike. I felt lightheaded. Afterwards i found out that was the place i forgot to deliver. Something happened there.  I saw a specialist. He said as long as you are not rolling on the floor i can't do anything for you.  Last friday something happened while i was driving my car. it scared the hell out of me.  I went to see my doctor. I think i had petit mal. He says only children develop that. Not adults.  I have to put everything on paper. All the detaills. But when it happenes there is nothing only afterwards and most of the time things continue quiet perfectly.  Anyone out here who can tell me a bit more. Pardon my grammar i'm dutch.

Anybody can have absence

Anybody can have absence seizures AKA petite mal. If you see someone that looks like they are day dreaming then you are seeing wqhat could be a absence seizure. During them the person having them has no memory of the time laps or what happened during that period of time. If it was your regular doctor he does not know all he needs to about the different types of seizures and when they might start in a person.Anyone at anytime can have epilepsy. Have your doctor refer you  to a neurologist who specializes in epilepsy.
