Advice??

Hello I've had multiple concussions which have lead to memory problems, migraines, loss of consciousness. One was so bad that my doctors would not let me return to school for an amount of time, I was not allowed to use anything electronic and they even told me to refrain from reading if I could. The worst one I sustained was about year before I started having other problems. My EEG and CT scans have come back normal. But, I have what my neurologist calls "spells" even though she has never seen one. I will start to have problems with remembering words, and walking. Generally my friends know that I'm about to have a "spell". They say they last anywhere from 1-4 or five minutes. I start shaking violently and I wake up nauseated, disoriented. Generally all my muscles will hurt really bad, even my jaw, sometimes my teeth ache as well. But, I have no memory of what happened. One time a professor of mine in college called the ambulance on me because I had problems walking and I was "talking gibberish". When the ambulance got there all I remember is one of the EMT's saying sort of distantly that my blood pressure was really high. My neurologist took me off Keppra because she thinks it is anxiety or mood related, but generally she only spends less than ten to fifteen minutes with me each visit. She thought it was from stress, not enough food and not enough sleep. But, since I'm out of school for the summer, I've woken up on the floor in my room alone and I have no idea what is going. I'm generally sleeping 8 to 10 hours a day, eating three meals a day plus snacks. I'm not stressed because I sit in my room reading articles online, watching Netflix or drawing. So, I am a little confused about what is going on and my neurologist wants me to find a different neurologist. She has me on medicine for migraines that doesn't even help because my migraines leave me nauseated, throwing up, and with vision so blurry and spotty that if I'm out in public when they hit, my friends have to lead me back to my room as quickly as they can. Does anyone have any advice they can offer because my current neurologist is only saying that it is "unclear" when I've had them out in public and all my friends who know people who have seizures keep saying that I'm having them? Thanks

What you posted could

What you posted could deffinately be seizures. If you checked migraines can come up in several types of seizures. As for concussions..... They can cause many different problems.I will start with some of my issues for refference. I had been written up for day dreaming in class. I had been having a wierd feeling in my hand or from time to time I could feel and see a muscle twitch. I had a grand mal at school. Well it too a weeks testing for the neurologists toi actually find the cause. I had 20-25 different EEG's all came back normal. A CT scan will only show what it picks up in that shot so it might not show what is needed. The last test the neurologists did was another EEG in which I fell asleep in. Tests drain energy and in that EEG I fell asleep. In that EEG they saw abnormalities. By knowing where in the brain they came from the neurologists then went back to the MRI which they said was normal. By looking closer they found scar tissue in the left lobes of my brain. That scar tissue was from a hemmorage to the brain. Back in the 1960's the neurologists said before or after birth. Well Doc. (current neurologist did a study to see if there were any procedures that might stop my seizures all together. His conclusion was the hemmorage was between 6-8 YOA, In order to have a hemmorage I would have had to have been knockes out even for  a few seconds.Concussions can do just that. You do need to be seen by a neurologist who specializes in epilepsy and for your safty and you to get the correct diagnosis take a friend or 2 with you. They can tell him what they have seen or done for you during those times. Keppra is becomming the go to medication. I take it and it not onlu reduced the number of seizures I was having but it also shortened the time in those seizures dramitacly. One time a professor of mine in college called the ambulance on me because I had problems walking and I was "talking gibberish" Sounds like me while I was in a cluster seizure.  EMT's and ER people have set tests they do ECG, blood and CT scans are normal. If your had been having a seizure your blood rate would be high so what he refferenced could have been right it was high but not do to a heart problem. The last time I landed in the ER was because of a cluster seizure. Yes I blabbered and was walking wierd. Those tests were run on me. But the Dr didn't say chit about my A-fib with intermitant A-flutter. Which on a ECG would show up as an irregular heart beat. I do hope this helps and you get the assistance you need Joe
