What can anyone tell me about their experience with Topamax?

I Was and still am on Tegretol XR. But still was having seizures so my doctor and I have gone through several attempts at other drugs to combine with the tegretol.
I am currently trying Topamax it will be the 6th one were trying. I have been on it about a week. I notice the funny metalic tastes from soda, coffee and sugar. I also get real tired after I take it. It really drags me down. My stomach seems to be upset latley too.
What is everyone elses experiences and thoughts on it? Good or bad.

Hi me to its mt 3rd week the taste dosen't bother me. As I got to the 3rd week 75mg I couldn't sleep at all up all night and the next like I drank coffee one after another so I now take them in the morning along with Dilatin still the energy bunny but I now know if I can't sleep I can take Benadryl and be ok with all the meds I take no seizures or convulsions for 17day.
