Vimpat as Add-On

Sat, 03/07/2015 - 23:41

I want to offer encouragement to those with TLE and complex partial seizures.  I started having déjà vu type seizures not understanding what they were until I had a tonic clonic.  I saw an epileptologist who recommended I have an inpatient stay with monitoring and I was given the shocking diagnosis of epilepsy.  After several med changes, I am now taking 375mg of Keppra and 100mg of Vimpat 2x's daily.  I am no longer having seizures and I believe the add-on of Vimpat 6 months ago has made the difference.  I finally feel like I'm getting my life back.  I'm a 54 yr old female and I have been offered an incredible opportunity to go for my Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling.  I'm taking the GRE next week.  Be patient and work with your Dr. but never, ever be afraid to ask questions!

May God bless you all!

Vimpat is a good medication, I have been using it as an add on medication with keppra. It has helped me and reduced the number of seizures I had been having. Keppra reduced them too
