Versed

My Dr. has prescribed versed to derail my seizures. It is a hard drug, a narcotic, but I use an inhalant to spray a miniscule amount as a fine mist in my nose. I used to load a syringe, take the needle off, then squirt the versed. This took time though and if I missed the window of opportunity, I was left in a stupor holding a syringe of narcotics - not the best situation. Now, I use a nasal spray bottle. If I can get to it in time when I feel one coming, it generally stops the process from cycling into a full blown seizure by shocking/distracting the system. I wonder if anyone else has tried this. It seems like a lot of us have that sense of impending doom before we take a hit. At least this gives a sense of being able to do something about it. He said a shot of vodka could potentially break the system out of cycling upon itself. It doesn't work for all his patients, but again, the feeling of control against being sucked down a drain offers a glimmer of hope. For that alone, it might be worth a try.
