Tegrotol to Tryleptol and back to Tegrotol?

Mon, 07/10/2017 - 13:46
I have been on many Meds but currently on Tryleptol. Was on Tegrotol for years til menopause hit then all went out of whack. Currently on Tryleptol for at least 4 years and still get some double vision. Sodium level is always low. my QUESTION is, has anybody gone back to Tegrotol. I felt this drug was not near as debilitating and they are a related drug. Anybody? Comments? Thanks for your time and keep well

Hi there, im 57  and been on tegretol for thirty years. Now menopausal and having problems with bones and low sodium but doctors dont seem concerned!!! However because my epilepsy is controlled as long as i keep to strict timing with the tablets despite side effects i have to admit to being too scared to change meds. So was wondering why in particular you changed from the tegretol ? Did it cause problems? As i said in teying to answer your question i would be reluctant to change it. Hope you keep well too.
