question on Valproic acid?

My doctor has been slowly introducing me to the pill. October 4th-18th I took one pill 18-th (tomorrow actually start 3) and then do that for two weeks. Is the medication not totally in my system. I mean, it isn't even on 250 mg. I was curious since earlier I thought I had a seizure but I could be wrong. Anyway, do I wait for the full dose to be in my body. My seizures seem to be pretty much under control at the moment. I could have been wrong earlier. Anyway, will the full dose get it fully in my body

Unfortunately, Depakote ( valproic acid) was the only med that worked for me for many years. The side-effects were horrendous. So much of my straight hair fell out that it grew back curly, like a chemo patient. Constant stomach and memory difficulties, a total zombie. When newer meds came on the market I started those, despite their being not as helpful. I would rather have a seizure than be a zombie to that med again.

valproic acid made my eyes burn and turn red with in 1 hour . stomach ache took it for 2 days . never again
