medication

just wondering if anyone out there is having as has had the same problems with tegretol im on 100mg twice a day and i find i take one tablet at around 9am and i sleep til about 2 to 3pm i cant eat ive lost a stone in 10 days i take my next tablet around 8pm and thats me asleep til the next day i feel dizzy sick and have no appetite is this normal ive been on this medication for 2 weeks i cant work i have no life does this get better???

sorry guess i was lookin for a quick response i just feel like taking the 168 tablets my doctor has given me i ll try anything ive even tried digging my nails into my arms hoping that the pain of that will stop a fit not working

I hope you start feeling better. You should call your Dr and make an appointment for this week. Tell them it is an emergency. I do not have any experience with this medication. But I do know that it you are feeling that badly that you need to see someone asap. Maybe if there is a Dr on call you could talk with someone today. Hang in there. I have a 10 year old that just was diagnosed and is on keppra. I am defenatly not an expert. J

hi jmom thanks for your reply my doc just doesnt offer any other aed but just some names of other medication as you said keppra is really helpful at least now i can say to him can you try me on keppra thanks tracy x
