Lamotrigine / Lamactil pill size change??

Thu, 02/18/2016 - 16:02
Hey is anyone else taking Lamotrigine and notice that they've recently changed the size of the pills?? my 100mg pills got larger, and my 25mg pills got smaller!! I just ran out of 100mg's so I've been taking my correct dose by adding up the 25mgs until I can afford refills of the 100MG... recently the 100s got bigger! I asked the pharmacist who assured me they're the right MG... which got me wondering what makes them bigger? what kind of filler is in it to make it larger? AND the 25mg are smaller!!!? I don't get it. Anyway, since I'm taking eight of the now tiny 25s a day instead of two of the large 100s, I'm worried maybe they screwed up somehow and my dose is low. the first day I switched I had extreme anxiety, and ever since I've felt really strange. I have temporal lobe epilepsy with simple partial daytime and tonic clonic nocturnal seizures. The medication has completely stopped my seizures since June 2015. Has everyone's pills changed size?? I live in Southern Ontario (Canada)

At times the maker is

At times the maker is different and the RX is filled. The pharmacy generally puts something on the RX letting you know it may look different i.e. color or size but it is the same amount. I know I have been using generics for any and all my meds. So yes the pill sixe and a change of a shade of color gets done but the pharmacy should let you know. I have had no problems with any of my meds be they for my seizure control of my A-fib
