Yes, but it didn't result in a pregnancy. Have you ever heard of Fertility Awareness? It involves taking your waking temperature (basal body temp - bbt) every morning and charting them to watch the pattern. Your temperature goes up the day you ovulate (or the day after, depending on when in the day you ovulate). I was doing that for about 9 months before I started the pill. After I started the pill, I kept on taking my bbt to keep track of the change in pattern. An ovulatory temperature chart has a very distinct pattern to it. For a while it was very different. My bbt didn't indicate anything was amiss and I knew the pill was suppressing my ovulation like it was supposed to. Then when I started the Keppra, I noticed my charts went back to a distinctly ovulatory pattern. For the months of July and August, I could have gotten pregnant if I hadn't been paying attention. I went off the pill, since it's clearly not working (besides which, I started getting wicked awful cramps). Most seizure meds interfere with your body's ability to absorb the pill.

From what my gyn. told me several anticonvulsant drugs interact with birth control pills. My doctor wouldn't even prescribe them to me untill I convinced her I wasn't currently on any meds for my sz's. My mom and I did some research using her medical books and drug books (she's a registered nurse and owns a geriatric home health care company)and we found that several meds do this. I usually do my own research using this site or webmd, and then talk to my neuro about any meds I found, and reminding him about getting BC pills. Hope this helps a little, Susan
