Going from Lamotrigine ER to regular lamotrigine

Tue, 09/06/2016 - 10:44
Good morning, I have was dx in 2013 with partial seizures. They have been well controlled on Lamotrigine ER 300 mg daily for over 2 years now. My husband's insurance recently changed. I now have to pay 352/month for my meds. It is cost prohibitive. I have been researching our insurance and both meds. I can get lamtrigine for a much lower cost. Has anyone gone from Lamotrigine ER daily to lamotrigine 2 times per day? Does it have the same effects to control the seizures? There doesn't seem to be much info on going from the ER to regular. Thanks
