sansy,
The overall goal with medication is to stop/control the seizures, with NO side effects.
It's great with your status, but there are possibilities that it could improve, by increasing the dosage level, adding another medication, or switching to a more effective medication. Don't feel disappointed about it, just give it time. My complex partials and grand mals are under control by medication, but not the simple partials. I'm now working on something new and now, with positive results of less sps and lowered strength whenever they do occur.

Hi,
I would say ask your Neurologist about increasing your dosage or maybe adding an add-on medication. Personally I am happy that mine have reduced, but I too would be happy if they stopped altogether. I was told the ultimate goal is to stop the seizures, but that is not always attainable. Sometimes a reduction, is the best we can get, with a medication. If that is acceptible to the patient then the medication level is left alone...or so I am told.
