Change the time I take phenytoin.

Wed, 01/11/2017 - 15:01
Very brief history. 2 seizures in my sleep on the same night 20 years ago. Prescribed 300ml of phenytoin to take before bed, had to problems at all. Nommore seizures until 3 years ago had a seizure at approx 5.30pm. A year later had a seizure at around 7pm. And 6 months ago had a seizure at 3pm. All while awake. My epilepsy no longer seems to be nocturnal. I've discovered phenytoin has a bio-logical half life of 10-22 hours , so worse case , if I take it before bed at 10pm it's half as effective at 8am. I'm wondering (and will obviously not act upon opinions here ) if I should alter the time I take my medication since my epilepsy symptoms seem to have changed. Ive been for a ECG today and nurse wasn't sure but will certainly ask my neurologist when when I go for the results of that. In the meantime any opinions will be greatly appreciated.
