Seziures from Tuberous Sclerosis

Mon, 05/16/2011 - 19:03

My 17 month old son has simple partial seizures during the day. We have now notices that he is waking up in the middle of the night and then will have a simple partial shortly thereafter. What I was wondering if when he wakes in the morning he acts like he has not sleep at all. Getting him to nap during the day is extremely hard and notice that he gets his seizures upon waking or shortly thereafter or when he is extremely tired. He has started grinding his teeth during the seizures as well and this is a new thing for him. He is currently on Keppra and Trileptal but I can't really tell any difference  do to the sleep factor. He had surgery to remove two tubers and was doing fine until two months after the surgery and they weened him off the Sabril (vagabatrine). I was wondering if he might also be having nocturnal seizures due to the waking up tired all the time.

 Any thoughts would be great.
