My 7 yo had first and only seizure while in the mountains. I have found some info online connecting high altitude and seizures. Any parents out there with similar stories. We are having our EEG in the am.

Sometimes lack of oxygen can cause a seizure. That's why they make him hyperventilate during his EEG. Sometimes the lack of oxygen and build up of carbon dioxide can cause a seizure. Did your son have a seizure during his EEG?

This is probably why they are very cautious with water, swimming, ocean and the bath. Its the lack of oxygen that prob. triggers sometimes. Anyone with information on swimming with this condition.
