The Emotional Stress is Becoming Too Much

Sat, 07/02/2016 - 11:55
I'm 17, almost 18, and just received my epilepsy diagnosis a year ago. I've been having tonic clonic seizures for 18 months, but I've been having micro-seizures for almost my entire life. They've put me on Topimax to avoid some of the side effects that affect my mood because I volunteer with children, and I'm still working on finding the right dosage. I'm struggling with the fact that I can't seem to find anyone to relate to. No one seems to understand where I'm coming from. A lot of my friends have abandoned me because of my issues. I was wondering if anyone knew of any sites or support groups for young people trying to adjust to their situations.
