Device to Detect seizure while Sleeping

Fri, 05/05/2017 - 10:36
Hello All, I am new with this site and Forum. My son (14yr) had his first seizure when he was 4 days old. In his early age he use to have almost 10 episodes in a day until we tried the Ketogenic diet. Which was a big breakthrough for us. He was seizure free for almost an year after we started the diet and his seizure reduced to once in a year or six month on that diet. He was on that diet till he was 9 yr and we had twins. We could not kids with normal food and kid on diet so we got rid of diet and had him on medicine. The medicine had worked well so far, keeping the seizure to 1 in 3 to 6 months. My concern is when he has seizure at night while sleeping. He is grown up and does not want to sleep with us anymore. He is usually on his own or with his one of the twin brother who are only 6 and too young to respond if he has any seizure while sleeping. ANy devices used by parents which had helped them in getting alarm , please share to help us with this stress. He has tonic clonic seizures. I have found this watch on the website, has anyone used it .. any comments suggestions will be helpful https://www.empatica.com/product-embrace
