Weed and epilepsy
Thu, 07/10/2014 - 16:03Okay so I'm 14 years old. My doctor told me to stop taking my medication after I've had it for like 2 years or so. Now after I stopped the medicine I started smoking weed. My question is, does weed effect my epilepsy? If I keep smoking, will my epilepsy come back? I hadn't have a sezure in like 2 years. Since I started the medication. If I keep smoking will I have sezures? Does weed effect epilepsy?

Kay As for weed unless you know where it came from and it is medical MJ then do not touch it. Understand weed is one thing. But some people will lace weed with other drugs. I had a friend die from weed laces with something else. If you have been seizure free then for your on safty and health don't start using weed. Especially at your age. I speak from experiances. I have been living and dealing with epilepsy for over 50 years. I know people can grow out of it and do great things. My cousin did. Here seizures were when she was young. When she was a teen like you her seizures stopped. She is married has a good job. Is married to a great guy. I hope this helps and you stay seizure free. Joe
