Wearing a Medical Alert.

Tue, 04/07/2015 - 16:27

Not many people like to wear a Med. Alert but some of us have realized the value of these items. I wear mine daily and also keep a  laminated med alert card in my wallet. I started my career as an X-Ray Technician and when I was moved to the Emergency Room I did find that these alerts can be life savers. No person wants to advertise Epilepsy but when this information is needed a Med. Alert can give responders a head start in dealing with a medical situation. These alerts can also prevent people from over-reacting to a seizure. Please be sure to include an EMC ( Emergency Medical Contact) Name and Telephone Number.
