Vimpat for JME?

Mon, 08/26/2013 - 17:58

Hello,

question for everyone. I was prescribed Vimpat last Friday for my JME. I have read it is for partial seizures, so i'm wondering how well it is going to work, has anyone else taken this for JME? I started on Keppra, then Depakote, Lamictal, topomax, and now this. So far I am so sensitive to all the side effects, that I cant tolerate anything. And I had a severe allergic reaction to the Lamictal. The pharmacy was out of Vimpat until today, and I just picked up my script and took my first dose. I already feel my mouth getting kind of tingly/numb. But, i'm going to think the best and try not to think about side effects and just see how it goes. I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience with this drug, with this type of epilepsy, and how it worked for you.
