Tumor-induced Epilepsy and cant keep food down

Tue, 10/13/2015 - 23:03

Hey there everyone. I am not an epileptic myself. but a very dear friend of mine is, and i am trying to help her manager symptoms. She is awaiting treatment options from an MRI with contrast she had just today. But it seems her situation is pretty desperate. I am no doctor, so perhaps i am being fearful for nothing, but she hasnt been able to eat in days. She cant keep anything down. She tells me that even when she tries not to eat, she still somehow coughs up thick bile.

just alittle more background info, to help you guys help her... her original CT scan three weeks ago revealed a cyst on her pineal gland. from what research ive done, a cyst is basically a tumor. and since the pineal gland is in her brain, she basically has a brain tumor. She was hospitalized three weeks ago with stroke-like symptoms that have since dissapated, but in their place has come epilepsy and severe migraines. I have no idea what medication they have her on, so maybe that might be the place to start. But regardless of her medication, she needs a way to keep food down so she can maintain nourishment.

does anyone have any advice they can give me to forward to her? anything would be appreciated.

Do find out the medications

Do find out the medications she is taking. It could be a side effect of the medication..  Side effects do happen and with some medications what you are posting could be a rare side effect
