support groups are important

Hi Joyce here, I was wondering if other states had alot of support groups or if they are hard to find? I am in Oregon and I have not found a support group for seizures such as this one. Any one have any suggestions or ideas for me? I was seeing a very good councelor but lost my coverage for it and can not afford too pay on my own. I still use some of the ideas she showed me before I had to stop seeing her. I have noticed my depression has increased in severity since I stopped seeing her and also the group meetings we used too have. Does any one elses depression seem to go through periods of being more increased then other times or am I just having a denial issue? I hope every one's week was a good one, mine was full of stressfull issues, I felt as though God was testing me and I failed badly. I hope to post the first part of my story soon, not sure where I should post it, any ideas on that would be helpful too. Untill later my friends, Joyce

Actually, now that I think about it, i haven't seen any support groups specifically geared towards epilepsy in my area either. Be something to think about setting up, wouldn't it? Maybe contact your local hospital and see if they'd help provide a space, some time and maybe some info. That'd all be great, don't you think? Anyways, as for groups you might be interested in, have you checked out NAMI or DBSA? They're more mental health orientated, but there'd be others fighting depression who might be able to give you some ideas on that end of things. Take care
