Seizure focus deep in brain

If a person's seizures are originating deep within the brain, what kind of EEG is sensitive enough to pick them up?

Pamela, They used to be known as "Invasive EEG's" using special electrodes. I'm not sure what they are known as now. Here is info on the types of electrodes. The second one listed is the type that was used in the invasive one I had a thousand years ago. Special Electrodes Take care! -Spiz

Spiz, do they not use these anymore for regular outpatient EEG's? or do they just use them for long-term VEEG monitoring? if they are more sensitive, wonder why they are not used more? pam
