Hi.. The constant ringing is called 'tinnitus'. http://www.ghihmo.com/yourhealth/encyclopedia/articles/tinnitus_basics.html (It's also a 'possible' side effect of some AEDs.) Look under 'Psychopharmacologic Agents' on http://www.lhh.org/otology/ototoxic.htm I have it also... and, to my knowledge, there is nothing that can be done to stop it. The audiologist told me to come back when the ringing gets so loud I can't hear. So I ignore it, which works for the most part, unless I get very tired as then the ear noise gets louder. ~sol

I get that as well, my Dr told me that cutting down on caffine and salt could help. When I sleep at night I keep a small fan running for the "white noise" effect. I'm able to focus on the sound of the fan motor and and drown out the ringing.

Soooooo. Update to THIS thread. I went to my doctor a few days ago to clarify some things, especially things regarding my neuro. I talked to him about my nosebleeds and about this stupid ringing. He's sending me to an ENT. My nasal passages are swollen (esp the right), but my ears *look* fine. They are nice and clear. Much to my surprise, they've booked me for an audiogram. I might have some hearing damage. This is booked for a week Tuesday. It will be interesting, that is for sure! ;)
