Questions about brain fogginess

Thu, 10/13/2016 - 13:15
Hi, I am new to the forum and looking for some feedback about some symptoms I am feeling from a seizure I recently had. So I had a grand meal seizure on Saturday, October 8th, at around 9 am. My son had his 1 year birthday party starting at 1pm so after my seizure and relaxing for an hour or so I got up and got set up for the party (I know not smart, but i wasn't missing his birthday). Anyways was really happy that I was able to carry on normal conversations, mind you I am told this. I remember some of the conversations but the day was just hectic in general. The rest of the weekend and Monday were hectic as well but not as much. Anyways fast forward a little bit... I am having major fogginess in my brain since Saturday. It is just a strange feeling that feels like there is like a cloud or something in my brain. I can't even describe it besides cloudy or foggy. I can still have conversations and thoughts but the feeling is really unnerving. I had to take days off of work because of the feeling and lack of ability to focus. The part that makes me nervous is that I have never had this side effect and never had any side effects for this long. Could my brain just still be exhausted? I did go back to work yesterday and that made me take these next two days off. I just want to get back to my normal. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated, or just knowing ways people have helped to reduce this feeling would be nice to know. Thank you all!

Grand Mals can leave a foggy

Grand Mals can leave a foggy head. They also drain your energy, Convulsions are your muscles jerking with all their strength. You really don't know how strong you are. At 13 My stepfather grabbed my wrist thinking he would hold my arm down so it didn't hit the coffee table. Well I tossed him a few feet and from that time forward he moved things out on my way and found something to slip under my head. The length of time on your seizure will also mean the time in the fogginess. I have been foggy for an hour or two after  But when I had long ones I was foggy for longer. I could still function and do my work but certain things took longer to do.
