Progress!

So after spending a small fortune on a private consultant (in UK) She's said to get my doctor to refer me to her and she'll arrange a stay at an epilepsy centre. She wasn't sure exactly what's going on but hopefully now I can start getting answers instead of being stuck in limbo. Anyway just curious about people's experiences of staying at centres? From what I remember I'll have a longer EEG, a psychological assessment and possibly other things not specified.

IMPORTANT! Sorry, this may be offensive but I still can't quite believe I was asked this......

I was asked by the first neurologist if I had been abused in any way, I was totally shocked and felt it was deeply inappropriate and irresponsible, especially for people who have been and could be triggered. They apologised and said they had to ask everyone, the private one didn't and it's made me think if the first was concentrating a bit too much on my past mental health, even though I've been fine for years. I'm guessing it's not a standard question to a possible first seizure!?
