People with Epilepsy in Central New Jersey

Sun, 02/15/2015 - 18:18

Hello, Y'all

My name is Chad, I have right temporal lobe epilepsy and I will be having a temporal lobectomy in a few days at Thomas Jefferson in Philadephia, PA.  I'm originally from around Meadville, PA, and then I spent some time traveling the USA.  When I was 24, I was diagosed after having many "panic attacks" and auras.  At my worst, which wasn't long ago, I was having one tonic-clonic a week.  This morning, I fell off my chair and bumped my head, hopefully not interrupting my surgery plans.  I live in Hamilton, NJ and used to be a professional musician.  Now I just sit at home and try and try to keep my mind going by strumming my guitar and singing.

I'd love to talk to and eventually meet some people in the area that have epilepsy as well, perhaps discuss Thomas Jefferson.

I really want and appreciate

I really want and appreciate the prayers.  I have tried to go to meetings, but I live like 30 miles from the closest one I can find.  As someone who does not drive, I have trouble getting to them.  I am aware that NJ has excellent support for its disabled and I am attempting to get on TRADE, which will help me travel.  So, anybody live near Hamilton, NJ?
