Normal EEG with GM seizures
Wed, 03/08/2017 - 17:43Good evening, I have been suffering from GM seizures for 4 years now, and here recently they have been more frequent. I am also suffering from non stop fevers for the past 4 months. I have had 3 abnormal EEGs and last week was admitted to the EMU for 6 days. I had 2 seizures there, but the Neurologist there said my EEGs were completely normal and that I do not have epilepsy, I have "stress" seizures. I know that it is not stress, these seizures kill my body and it is so frustrating to just hear that it is psychological and not physical even though i have had these 3 abnormal EEGs. Has anyone else experienced this, and know of any Doctors who specialize in this area? Any help is appreciated

docs that are so focused on being right they miss reality is a big red flag for me... who doesn't consider that one's meds may affect the outcome of a test?!? in your case one would expect an eeg off meds to be definitive about epilepsy but that was not the scenario...
