A little back history:

At around 15 years old I had my first "black out". That's what I called them because I would be walking or sitting and the next thing I knew, I was somewhere I didn't remember going to. I delt with them until I was 23 when I finally saw my family physician because it happened with my infant son in my arms. Luckily no one was injured but that was enough for me to get to the bottom of what the problem was. Before I would black out I would feel light headed and dizzy, sometimes a nagging headache right behind my eye then I would wake up somewhere I wasn't before. When I finally saw my doctor he referred me to a nuerologist who hooked little stickies to my head and stuck a flashing light in front of me both with the lights on and off and did an MRI. When I met with my doctor later he told me what I was dealing with were Absence Seizures. After looking up what that even meant it made me realize that I could remember as a child (and even now) that I would zone out and I ended up with a lot of paddling for it in class. My problem is this though, I also experience what seems to be Complex Partial Seizure symptoms sometimes. My body will go limp and I'll fall or slump over. I don't recall anything during these episodes.

So my question is this, can you have two different types of siezures? I finally have health care coverage so any tips as to what I would ask or say to a specialist to get an accurate diagnosis so this can be treated would be great.
