new to forum: returning memory

Tue, 05/01/2007 - 13:10
I have had partial seizures probably since I was around 6. but I wasn't diagnosed until 27 after a grad mal. I have been well-controlled for the past 8 years (9 since diagnosis). recently, my med changed from tegretol to lamictal. which works great, btw. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this: after my grand mal, I lost a lot of my memory (mostly short term, but some parts of my adulthood were lost, like when my daughter was a baby). since I started taking lamictal, every month or so, I am having a little memory to come back. they have been of my daughter and just simple things. it means a lot because I didn't remember anything except her birth and then her being about 4 yo. I had thought because it had been so long since I lost the memories that I would never get them back. has anyone else experienced this?
