Muscle soreness

Fri, 02/10/2017 - 10:58
Hello! This is my first post here. I am not really sure how long I have had epilepsy, but I have had 3 seizures in the last 5 years. A few days ago I had a breakthrough seizure after not having any for about 2.5 years. Since then I have noticed my legs are very sore. I exercise regularly and am used to being sore, but this doesn't seem to be going away. I don't know if it has to do with the medication (they increased my dose of Keppra to 3000mg/day), the stiffness and convulsions for the seizure, or just something else entirely. I don't remember experiencing this feeling after any of my previous seizures, but I don't really trust my memory. This increased Keppra dose is definitely having a stronger effect on me than it did before. I am tired all of the time and feel very sluggish. It makes me wonder of the medicine is also making my muscles or joints tired. It could simply be due to the seizure, but I haven't done anything particularly active over the last few days and I still feel the same. Do you normal feel sore after a seizure? Does Keppra cause anything like that? Thanks!
