Levetricatem (Keppra) side effects?

Wed, 07/05/2017 - 07:42
Hi Lamotrigine unfortunately made things worse now they want me to try Levetricatem (Keppra). I am nervous of this now.Is there a calcium issue with this. Also there is some mention of rarely affecting blood cells, if so is this reversible. I worry as might need to donate stem cells to relative. Any advice useful. As am having so many seizures especially after the Lamotrigine, although its calming down a bit.

Hi! I deal with generalized seizures and I was put on Keppra at one point and had to be taken off of it soon after. People consider it Keppra crazy. That medicine made me feel like people were out to get me that they were always mad at me and that they were always yelling at me. It makes you angry and very emotional, I felt people hated me when really no one was doing anything. This is when my family and I realized I needed to get off this medicine I had been on it for a little while so I had already been going through the side effect..acting crazy..when one day I got so mad and was arguing with my mom that I threw a chair at her....at my mother. Never in a million years would I have ever acted like any of this or done that till I got on Keppra. So if you decide you still want to try this medicine I wish the best of luck and hope u don't go through the Keppra Crazies.
