Hey girl - I have been taking Lamictal for about 3 years now have not run into any gum problems. I have increased my mg over the years and now take 200 mg twice a day. Everyone responds to medicine differently, so it is possible that your seizure medicine is causing the gum problems. Ya never know

It's true though. It's been found that AEDs can cause gingivitis, especially when one of the side effects is dry mouth. Just go to the dentist when you're supposed to and make sure they know that your gum problems may be due to AED side effects (not that they would know anything about pharmacology).
