Keppra, weight gain and Alli
Tue, 06/28/2016 - 08:06Hi there, I have been sezuire free for 5 and a half years and been on keppra for about 3 of those.
Since being on keppra (and now being able to drive) I have had significant weight gain. To the point where it has taken me in to the bmi stage where the doctor has offered my Alli.
So here is my problem, I am pretty serious about doing all things possible to not have anymore sezuires.
My weight gain is becoming a problem, I have stopped gain any more weigh but I am really struggling to shift it.
The doctor has offered me alli, but there has been some links to sezuire activity and the drug.
I know it is always a calculated risk I take cocodamol and anti histamines and these have never caused me to have seizures, but I understand that the weight loss drug affects absorption rates.
Anyway I guess you can tell from the post I am confused at what to do.
Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The doctor prescribe Xenical 120 a couple of days ago. I found out Insurance gsk doesn't make the generic drug Orlistat anymore because the drug isn't expense enough. I asked the nurse if alli was ok because it's Orlistat 60mg . I take 2, 3x daily. I haven't loss any weight yet. I think it's the Keppra . When does the person see results ?

I just start it last night I just hope it won't couse me weight problem and I also taken topiramate but it lose weight pill so I just hope this new med work for me because I been having lost seziuers and all so I hope does make me weight more and I eat less
