I STARTED MEDS MONDAY I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO TAKE MEDS

I'm assuming you are taking the meds for epilepsy. Unless you have a syndrome that's known to vanish (like a cold), drugs for epilepsy (like insulin for diabtics) have no end. If you are a new epileptic..expect to be taking meds for the remained of your life. I've been on meds for 49 years ~sol

Dear Jana33, I was told by my neur after they got the results of my eeg, that showed I had brain spikes??? One neur in the office I go to says she prefers patients to stay on their aeds for 3 years, while the other neur prefers 1 year. So, after 1 year they are going to do another eeg and if it comes out normal, they will takes me off of my aeds. I have my fingers crossed.
