Hello Everyone ( Re- My oldest Son )

Sat, 06/20/2015 - 18:28

Hello - I am currently the parent of a young adult (my son) who has grand-mal seizures & has a VNS implant.

Ever since he has had seizures he has been having other issues going on as well due in part to his epilepsy.

Many years back he decided he wouldn't take his medcations so now his brain has been fried due in part he

has had many grand-mal seizures over time.  It got to be so bad at one point I needed to have oxygen in my house

to buy sometime until the ambulance got to my house !

One time, I recall I almost spent Christmas in our local hospital !

I was kind of wondering about if there is anyone else in similar situations as myself ?

We currently have a golden retriever but he is not trained - Max "just knows" when my son is going to

be having one.

My oldest son, has a very difficult time processing certain things & is unable to handle cetain things that

come his way.

He recently got upset over something & so he decided not to take his medications -

he got into an accident, as he had a seizure behind the wheel of his car !

Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt he will never take accountability for his actions!

He tends to blame others for what happens to him .

He was seizure free for a very long time now

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated  -  Thank-you
