Had Auras AFTER Seizure For 1st Time!
Tue, 03/21/2017 - 15:39Has this ever happened to anyone else? I've had epilepsy since I was 15 & I've almost always had what I call auras before hand. Auras are subtle hints that I'll be having one in the near future (i.e. choppy speech, the room doing a sort of spinning / bouncing view, etc). That way I know to stop whatever I'm doing & sit down. Anyway, I usually have one seizure every 3-4 months, but lately, I've been having one every 3-4 weeks. I've also been having a lot of headaches & have occasionally been hearing things. I'm on medicaid & the soonest I can get an appt. (w/ EEG) w/ a new neurologist is in 2 months. Point is, I had the spinning / bouncing view aura before my last seizure (also the last few of which I've been conscious for & included vomiting; also new), then for several days afterwards, while stuck in bed w/ the migraine ('seizure hangover'), I had that spinning / bouncing view aura! I couldn't open my eyes for days because that aura wouldn't go away! What?!?!?!!!!!
