Grand Mal awake And recovery time

Sat, 11/29/2014 - 22:51

I was 13 when I started having Grand Mal seizures.  In which these first seizures I was always complete out.  Around the age of 25 I was having an EEG test and the tech called for someone else to come into the room and then another until the room was completely crowded with what I was to find out was doctors.  They kept asking me questions after questions until I got fed up and said what is wrong.   An older doctor came over to me and said they would not ever see this again in their lives.  I was completely awake and having no jerking or anything but the machine said I was having a Grand Mal seizure.  I have not taken any medications sense then but just three weeks ago had my first seizure in 42 years that I know of.  I was still awake.  I am 67 years old.  By the way for anyone that is older three weeks later and I am still tired.  Don't know how long it will take to get my energy back.
