Exercise & Medication Levels...

Wed, 02/15/2006 - 12:00
Does anyone know if exercise (jogging, cycling, swimming, etc..) can affect medicine blood levels? For example, if someone who doesn't exercise has a stable dilantin level and then begins exercising, does the body "eliminate" the medicine any quicker?

I know if I exercise that I feel I am pushing myself and I feel too exhausted. I too, am afraid, it will bring on a seizure. But check out this article. http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/pages/Epilepsy_and_exercise?OpenDocument Take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/

When I used to work out at a gym, I had less seizures. I could work out any frustrations on weights etc. I also took less medication. CG
