Even The Medical Profession Hasn't Learned

Hi Everyone, So, I get a new primary care physician as my current one is over an hour a way. I go to my new appointment and the nurse who is weighing me and in my exam room with my husband and I says...Now don't drive, no person with Epilepsy is supposed to drive. I look at my husband, let her VERY UNEDUCATED comment flow over my shoulders as there are many of us that drive with epilepsy. We sometimes have setbacks, cannot drive, others never have set backs, and yes, there are some that cannot drive...but NOT all of us. Well, when my new Primary Doctor came in it was a basically ...you can't educate them all as some still believe in myths and stigmas as we discussed my epilepsy. My new doctor seems awesome, very open minded, not to seem to treat all his patients alike. As for people living back in the old ages...I couldn't believe it was one in the medical profession, well it really shouldn't surprise me. Just another day living with Epilepsy, but continuing to think positive.
