Epilepsy Monitoring Unit

I am 23 year old female and have had 10 grand mal seziures in the past few years as well as auras once or twice a week. I am being admitted to an epilepsy monitoring unit next week. Does anyone have any advice? What should I expect?

Hello. I am 46 and have had epilepsy since I was 21. I have had several Video monitoring and they went well. The biggest problem is that you are confined to a hospital room. I brought a laptop and several books. My EMU also had a video library because they kept me up several nights. Good Luck! Paul
