NaBox I stopped driving in 1984. I had a car wreck. I hit to empty parked cars. I did not have an aura prior to my seizure. I chose to stop driving. It has been 22 years and of course I have changed meds and had 2 brain surgeries. For 5 years I have only had my seizures while asleep. I now have nocturnal epilepsy. I have chosen to start driving again. I feel the public is safe. I am not like the alcoholic, drug addict, or elderly who should not drive. I do think of the publics safety. I not only feel, I know the public is safe after I get my driver's license.

NaBox, Thank you,I was really feeling frustrated and scared about my drs. visit when I wrote this the other night.I to have had brain surgery to stop my seizures and 6months after surgery I was able to apply for my license again. And even then I had problems driving because I was scared to death something could go wrong. The dr. said at this time I dont have to take anything for the bacteria infection.Im glad you were not hurt in your accident.I went into aculvert ditch and my face went into the dash board. And just like you,I had no aura before my seizure I just woke up in an ambulance.Terri

Hello, I am a "newbie" who has Partial-Complex or Complex-Partial or whatever they choose to call it Epilepsy.I decided not to drive after a family was killed by a man who had Epilepsy. It was just my own decision and YES ! it does make me mad,but I must be at peace with myself. When in doubt, just don't do it...(I have seizures around my monthly cycle).
