Need Anaswers Please

Hello to everyone. I am looking for some answers.

Let me start out by giving some background details.

The person in my house (Amy) is a 28 yr old female. She was diagnosed with Epilepsy when she was 9 months old after a tumble down a flight of stairs.

From the age of 9mnths to 26 yrs old she lived with her Mother, Step-Father and brother. At the age of 27 her mother (my aunt) passed away. 1 month after we also lost our grandmother. 1 month after that it was decided from several members of my family that she shouldn't be living with her step-father no longer, let me tell you why. From as far back as I can remember he was never really nice to her, both him and her mother were alcoholics and we all suspected abuse but could never prove it.

Ok thats enough background, I'm sure ya'll get the picture.

 My questions are as follows............

1. Can a siezure be caused from nitemares?

2. Has anyone ever witnessed someone in a seizure that seems as if they regress in age?

I say regress because Amy says things while in a seizure that i vividly remember her saying as a child.

Amy cannot be controled while in these seizures. She wants to get up and walk around, she reaches for things that are not there. She says Momma over and over again. She screams, coughs, whistles, snaps her fingers and claps her hands, Are these typical?

3. Can a seizure be caused from thinking about things too much? Amy thinks about some of the littlest things way too much and over analyzes things.

If anyone here would be so kind to respond to my questions or have any insight as to how to deal with some these issues I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello, my name Jarrett. I have the same type of epilepsy she does, but I have learned to control it. I will always have seizures until they find a cure for it, but most of my seizures happen at night on weekends. Which gives me a couple of days to recover before I go to work. The good thing is that they rarely happen. But I stay in shape and look to Jesus for guidance so that helps alot. For your questions. 1:Yes, a seizure can be caused by nightmares depending on how bad they are and whether or not you get migraines. Nightmares if you have a migraine or even a small headache can put alot of strain on your brain. That can trigger a seizure. But don't worry it's rare. 2:No, but I have done it from what my mother and brother say. So it is evidently not uncommon. 3:Yes and No. Yes meaning My ex-fiance is the same way, she over analyzes things. So I know what you are going through seeing that. She got fazed out for a little while and then she would come back. She had a small seizure but that is not uncommon. A seizure like that doesn't make you epileptic. Because that can happen to anyone if they over analyze and think to hard about something and don't give their brain time to rest. If thinking about a problem or anything is wearing you out, then you should stop and relax. Give your brain time to regenerate. Your brain is like a living automatic regenerating battery. If you don't give it time to regenerate when it needs too it will force you to regenerate it. And trust me you don't want that. That is what you call a small little seizure and a headache afterwards. My brain is just a mouse and a wheel it gets tired easily. Hears was like an engine. Amy is the same way it seems like. She is epileptic, but her symptoms are normal just like mine. Teach her to try and not to concentrate as much and it will help her in the long run.

I have had seizures related to nightmares. i thought that it was a hallucinocation though and that it couldn't be true. I feel like I'm falling and I am partially conscious but can't wake up. Sometimes it feel as if a monster is sitting on my chest and I cannot breath. It only happens if I fall asleep on my back, not on my side. I bite my tongue on purpose to bring myself out of it before i seize.
